The Open option allows you to open single images. See Opening an Image for more information.

Close closes the current job. If you have made changes to the job without saving, you will be asked if you want to save your changes.

The Save option will save any changes you have made to the job file (not the original image file).

The Open Folder option allows you to open an entire folder of images in RIP-QueueAn organized list of jobs that are printed on a first-in first-out (FIFO) basis.. The TWAIN_32 feature allows you to scan an image directly into RIP-Queue. TWAIN is an industry standard that is used for retrieving images from scanners and digital cameras.

Acquire - This option allows you to scan an image. To scan an image, first verify that the scanner or camera is attached and on. Verify that you have the correct device selected in RIP-Queue by clicking File > TWAIN_32 > Select Source > Your Device. Select File > TWAIN_32 > Acquire. This will automatically import the image into RIP-Queue.

Select Source - This option determines which device you are using. RIP-Queue will automatically display the devices that are connected to your computer.

 

NOTE: See the User Manual or Help Files for your scanner or digital camera if you have trouble using the TWAIN feature.

Export Image As exports your image to a raster image file. See Export Image As for more information.

The Filter option opens the Filter dialog box. Use the dialog to attach a filter to a specific job, choose how to display the filter, and open the Filter Manager.

Filter Manager manages the Color Correction Filters associated with your job. See Filter Manager for more information.

Printed Job Log - This option displays information about each printed job. This information includes time and date of printing, media used, operator name, and other items. This information can be used to track your previously printed jobs.

Key - This option displays the Permissions for your product.

Area-Based Credits - This option displays the total available Area-Based Credit. This feature is a pay-as-you-go style of using RIP-Queue. For more information, contact your sales representative.

Job Properties changes the display or PostScript properties of the job. See Job Properties for more information.

This option restarts your program.

 

NOTE: Restarting your program interrupts all processing and printing.

The Printer Manager sets which printers are available in Job Editor. See Printer Manager for more information.

Manage Printers opens the Printer Manager dialog box.

The Preferences option controls how Job Editor deals with jobs in general as well as specifying the monitor profile used by Job Editor. See Preferences for more information.

The PostScript option allows you to control PostScript features. Choose Font Manager, Send Font to RIP, or Configure RIP for more information.

Submit sends the job to RIP-Queue to be processed and printed.

Package Jobs saves your image information along with all processing data and job settings. This allows you to reprint a job immediately without having to make any modifications.

 

NOTE: Images that are saved instead of packaged will only contain job settings. Processing data will be excluded.

The Application Settings (Figure 2) allow you to customize the appearance and functionality of your application. To set your preferences, click File > Settings, and then select the option that you want to modify. You can choose to modify the Appearance, Quality Options, or Shortcuts. You can also select About to see information about the application.

General Settings controls the RIP-Queue options that are not specific to a particular printer or job. See General Settings for more information.

 

NOTE: Accessing the General Settings interrupts all processing and printing.

Print Setup changes the job settings dealing with processing and printing. See Process & Print Setup for more information. 

Your most recent jobs are listed in the Recent Jobs list. You can open these jobs by clicking on them.

Exit shuts down and closes the program.
